We are currently looking to fill three unpaid internship positions beginning in Spring 2012:

Description: Hinge, a leading branding and marketing firm for the professional services, will provide as much opportunity and project experience as your talents and ambition afford. Collaborate with experienced designers on real projects with real deadlines. Learn how to balance business objectives and design aesthetics in a casual, friendly and supportive environment. At the end of your internship, you will leave more skillful, savvy and confident.
Qualifications: Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Adobe Illustrator a plus. Strong design skills will be rewarded with more challenging projects and greater responsibility.
Preferred: Strong writing skills. Sketching and/or illustration skills highly desirable. HTML & CSS coding experience a bonus.
Open to: Undergraduate and graduate students.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
Hours: The work day is 9:00-6:00 pm. Both full time and part time internships are available.
Work location: Reston, Virginia

Learn how to implement both traditional and online marketing strategies for the professional services world.
Description: As intern your responsibilities will include assisting with the maintenance, update and analysis of content in client relationship management system (CRM); draft project descriptions and produce proposals. In addition, you will have the ability to take part in other marketing activities including: market research analysis, content development, webinar production, and other online lead generation activities. By the conclusion of the internship you will have a working understanding of the role of marketing in a professional services firm.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to synthesizes information into professional marketing communications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with social networking trends, tools, and strategies.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified Timeframes
- Positive attitude, flexibility and problem solving mentality
- Knowledge of Social Media, Web 2.0 and InDesign a plus
- Completion of basic marketing courses and comprehension of marketing principles.

Hone your social media skills and gain experience in online marketing and branding for the professional services world.
Description: As intern you will learn the role of a true ‘Social Media Ambassador.’ You’ll draft daily posts on the Hinge Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts, and moderate Hinge’s presence within these new media spaces. In addition to interacting and building strong relationships within these spaces, you will compile and present weekly analytics for Hinge’s social media properties. You will also assist with blogger outreach by identifying new blogs for guest-blogging purposes. By the end of the internship you will understand the evolving role of social media in today’s business environment.
Qualifications: Demonstrated communication skills and a proven interest in new media communication and outreach. Ability to work independently. Strong writing skills and familiarity with social networking trends, tools, and strategies.
Preferred: Background and experience in communications, journalism, or marketing. Knowledge of web-based technology, SEO implementation, and alternative marketing experience (viral, affiliate, PPC) a plus. Must be creative and motivated to experiment.
