Launching a Global Brand

Montreal-based ROI Research on Investment, a global market research firm and one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, had just opened a US office and was planning new offices in Europe and Asia. But its brand and marketing efforts weren’t keeping up with the firm’s success. If ROI didn’t address their marketing problems quickly they would risk losing their momentum after a promising takeoff.

ROI’s initial success came in the Economic Development (ED) community, where they quickly established themselves as an invaluable business development partner to ED organizations around the world. It wasn’t long, however, before they began looking for new opportunities.

Hinge was selected to reposition ROI to attract and engage a wider professional services audience, as well as support the firm’s continued growth. “Hinge’s professional services focus, independent research into our target market and outstanding creative made them a natural choice,” says Kim Weir, ROI’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Over nine months, ROI’s visual brand underwent a significant upgrade, including a new logo, tagline, sales and marketing collateral and a new website. During the engagement Hinge conducted original research that informed our strategic and creative direction. Today, Hinge continues to evolve the ROI brand and provide critical lead generation and cultivation support services.

Since the launch of ROI’s new brand, Hinge has taken its relationship with ROI to a new level. in 2010, the two companies released a joint research study examining the strategies of high-growth professional services firms. At the same time, Hinge and ROI are cultivating mutually beneficial business opportunities in North America and overseas.
